Hawthorne’s Fun and Educational Preschool Program
Launch Pad Learning serves our local community here in Hawthorne as well as the surrounding neighborhoods of Lawndale, Lennox, Westmont, and Gardena. Our fun and educational preschool program is designed to build on each stage of growth and development, so that every child is prepared for kindergarten by the end of their time with us. At Launch Pad, we follow a daily schedule that is designed to provide a healthy balance between free play and directed “play”.
This allows each child to progress at their own rates and levels within a structured, nurturing environment. Unlike other preschools, we take the opportunity to create engaging learning opportunities for each child, so their time at Launch Pad builds the foundation for a life enriched by curiosity and discovery. We even offer potty training for any child who needs a little extra encouragement.

Best Preschool Curriculum for Children 2-5 Years of Age
Our preschool program is regarded as the best preschool curriculum since each child is taught on an individual basis unique to their own stage of development. When moving up to the next classroom, we work with parents to ensure that the transition is smooth and uneventful for the child. Children 2-5 years of age participate in age-appropriate activities.
These activities are designed using specific thematic topics to enhance their learning experience. Each month, topics and activities are rotated to cultivate a child’s genuine interest. Classrooms are arranged into learning centers, which allow children the freedom to play and develop skills. The daily schedule is a carefully planned balance between self-directed and adult-guided activities. During “free play”, children have the freedom to choose activities and playmates.
Each child is offered large and small group experiences, one-on-one interactions, as well as time to play alone if they choose. Children are encouraged to participate in activities but are never forced to do so.
The activity plan for the week is posted for your review and we encourage families to participate in our curriculum activities as often as they desire. We offer children an opportunity to play outdoors daily, weather permitting. If you have any questions, regarding our preschool program, get in touch with Launch Pad Learning today.
